Russian soprano, Alina Martemianova has been described as a “deeply touching” (BO.de) singer, who possesses a “strong stage presence and acting talent” (Schwarwälder Bote). She has been heard on the operatic and concert stages in Russia, Austria, Germany, and Bulgaria. At the Universität Mozarteum Salzburg, Alina has performed Barbarina in “Le nozze di Figaro” (Mozart) and a Sœur in “Dialogues des Carmèlites” (Poulenc). In 2018, she was a featured soloist with Festspiel Schloss Amerang, where she sang Papagena, First Lady, and First Spirit in “Die Zauberflöte” (Mozart) and Annina in “La Traviata” (Verdi). 

 

As a concert soloist, Alina has performed Orff's "Carmina Burana", Mozart’s “Coronation Mass” and Mendelssohn’s “Elias”. She was a featured guest soloist in the “Days of Russian Culture” tour in Bulgaria, performing concerts in Albena, Dobrich, Shumen, and Balchik. In Moscow, Alina performed in various concerts and festivals such as the “Dedicated to F. Chaliapin”, “Music at the Romanov`s House”, “VI Pushkin Assembly of the Academy of Russian Literature”, “Night of Museums” and others.

 

In addition to her musical training, Alina has extended experience as a theatre actress. She has performed in several theatre productions in Moscow including, Susanna in Beaumarchais’ “The Marriage of Figaro”, Lady Macduff in Shakespeare’s “Macbeth”, and Warrior in Volodin’s “Two arrows”, which performed at the “Circle of Friends” International Theater Festival in Perm, Russia.

 

Alina is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Gesang at the Universität Mozarteum Salzburg with Professor Bernd Valentin. She received her bachelor’s degree from the Mozarteum in 2019. In 2018, she completed an exchange semester at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater “Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy” Leipzig (Germany) under Professor Caroline Stein. Prior to her studies in Austria, Alina was enrolled at the State Music Institute of Ippolitow-Iwanow Moscow, under Professor Sergey Yakovenko. Additionally, Alina holds a diploma in Vocal Arts with distinction from Galina Vishnewskaya’s College of Music and Theatre Art Moscow. She has participated in masterclasses and training programs with Wolfgang Holzmair, Sumi Jo, Peter Berne, Gaiva Bandzinaite, Klaus Roth, and Rudolf Piernay.

 

Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, Alina was supposed to have been a Young Artist at the 3rd Festival Internacional de Música Clásica Vilagarcía de Arousa in Spain. 

In October 2021 Alina Martemianova will be performing the world premiere of the chamber opera "Im Geheimnis" by Jean-Baptiste Marchand at Crossroads-Festival in Salzburg.
